DTF (direct-to-film) prints your design in full colour, from photos and gradients to fine text, on cotton, polyester and drifit. There are no screens to set up, so you can print a single shirt without paying setup fees.
DTF stands for direct-to-film. Your design is printed onto a special film, coated with adhesive powder, cured, then heat-pressed onto the shirt. The ink bonds to the fabric surface, so it works on both light and dark shirts.
Silkscreen is cheapest for very large runs of a simple one- or two-colour design, but every colour needs its own screen and setup. Sublimation looks seamless but only works on light polyester. DTF covers what's in between: full colour, any fabric colour, cotton or poly, and no setup cost.
Upload a PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at print size. Our design studio checks the resolution and warns you if an image will print blurry, and our team does a free design check if you ask.
Turn the shirt inside out, wash in cold water, and skip the dryer when you can. Don't iron directly on the print.
DTF (direct-to-film) printing puts your design on a film that is heat-pressed onto the shirt. It prints full colour on cotton, polyester and blends, on both light and dark shirts.
At Shawn's Custom, a DTF-printed round neck tee starts at ₱128 including the shirt and front print. If you bring your own shirt, printing starts at ₱60.
